LIHATLAH KEMUSNAHAN YANG DAP LAKUKAN DI PULAU PINANG.


Developer Action Party getting more greedy.

- Famous Batu Ferringhi tourism belt on the verge of destruction

 
- Penang State Planning Committee (SPC)’to double permissible density from 15 units per acre to 30 units starting January

 
- lead to congestion and over-population

 
- adverse impact on Batu Ferringhi’s environment and charm.

 
- clear message to all MM2H and other foreign house buyers that the precondition when you bought the property can drastically change overnight,” - “No property is safe anymore.”


- New project plans include a 38-storey low-medium cost block of flats, a 48-storey medium-cost block and a 49-storey condominium tower. 

 
- and of course, a shopping mall.


- “We went to the MPPP and we were shocked,” “It was really a huge building planned just metres away from our house.”


- The project on the site of Kampung Chetty whose residents are being evicted with compensation.


- Although project not approved but land clearing and evictions have started.


- Utilities and sewage may not be able to cope

Foreigner Andreas said he was disillusioned by how things in Penang had degenerated. “We used to invite a lot of friends to come here to visit Malaysia. We felt like ambassadors for Malaysia,” he said.

Showing news clips that described Penang as one of the best places to retire, he said: “I can’t say that anymore.”

LOL! activist Davis Tan and Ong Eu Soon will be very impressed. 

No wonder SUARAM and other Penang NGO in their official report on Penang govt management says: 

"The report observes that the state’s overall and specific planning decisions “seem arbitrary, destructive and devoid of any proper assessment of consequences and future, other than monetary gain”.

I hope Penang people can be more understanding and tolerant.

If don't continue to have more property projects, how is Penang govt going to pay for the 400% increase in yearly state expenses since 2007 ?

Ok la. Ada jugak sediakan rumah kos rendah, kos sederhana dan kos tinggi. Boleh beli satu kalau nak. Tak mampu yang kos tinggi, belilah yang kos rendah.

Kalau nak pembangunan, perlu ada pengorbanan. Kalau tak nak pembangunan, duduk aje di rumah kayu bawah flat tersebut. Jangan marah orang lain kalau orang lain nak majukan tanah mereka. Tak ada salahnya kalau orang lain majukan tanah mereka untuk mendapat keuntungan perniagaan. Jangan salahkan orang lain terutamanya jika tanah tempat anda tinggal ialah tanah setinggan (jika).
