This is why I dislike the word "Ketuanan Melayu". It is too easy to spin by Mkini and incite hatred. I am sure there is a better equivalent.
Some random UMNO division leader says it to gain fame and then it gets royally spin by Mkini.
"Syed Ali Alhabshee said non-Malays must accept the reality that "ketuanan Melayu" (Malay hegemony), the national language and Islam cannot be questioned, threatened or belittled.
“The Chinese must understand that Malays are ‘tuan’ (masters) in this country, they must also understand that it is because the Malays are willing to compromise that they (the Chinese) can carry out all sorts of activities, especially in the business sector,” he added in a blog post.

Imagine if you are a Chinese reading this and you were born a Malaysian, how demeaning this title will sound?
It is probably better to rephrase it this way
"The Chinese must understand that the Malays are the majority race here and our constitution guarantees the special position of the Malays and our country's founding fore-fathers have agreed on a unwritten social contract that both Malays and Chinese will prosper together and not at the expense of each other."
"The Chinese must understand that a progressive and prosperous Malay population, being the largest group, will only provide opportunities for the Chinese to prosper more in the business sector".
