List of Defamation Court Cases LOST by Pakatan Rakyat leaders since GE13.

Pakatan-supported Raub NGO and Wong Kin Hoong makes public apology in court case to settle defamation lawsuit over cyanide lies in Raub which were heavily spread and protested before GE13.  In GE13, DAP had won the Raub Parliament seat from MCA on the back of the cyanide protests supported by Pakatan Rakyat. Since the win, there has been no further protests against the mining company although gold mining in Raub had continued.



1) 21 Aug 2014 

PKR VP and MP for Lembah Pantai, Nurul Izzah Anwar loses case for slandering her election opponent, Raja Nong Chik for corruption just 1 day before GE13. Nurul had been charged with paying RM10 million by Raja Nong Chik

Nurul Izzah reads out public apology in court and expresses regret.


2) 23 Apr 2014 

PAS Sec-Gen Mustafa Ali, PKR Sec-Gen Saifuddin Nasution, Suara Keadilan andHarakah loses court-case for slandering FELDA of selling Palm Oil to Israel.

Mustafa Ali and Harakah ordered to pay RM130,000 in fines and costs to FELDA while Saifuddin and Suara Keadilan apologizes and withdraws statement.

3) 30 Mar 2014

DAP Taiping MP and Pantai Remis ADUN, Nga Kor Ming, DAP Beruas MP and Sitiawan ADUN Ngeh Koo Ham, DAP ex-ADUN for Tronoh and ex-Perak Speaker V. Sivakumar,DAP Buntong ADUN ASivasubramaniam, DAP Menglembu ADUN Lim Pek Har.

The five DAP leaders loses law-suit to MIC's R.Ganesan for slandering Ganesan as being involved in a porn video.

The five DAP leaders held a press conference to publicly apologize to R.Ganesan.

4) 20 MAC 2014

PAS Deputy president Mat Sabu and Sec-Gen Mustafa Ali loses lawsuit for defaming former Election Commission deputy chairman Wan Ahmad Wan Omar over statements on the Sabah "IC Project" that was published in Harakah in February 2013.

Mat Sabu and Mustafa Ali is ordered to pay RM250,000 in damages and cost.

5) 28 Feb 2014

PAS Central Committee member and ADUN for Batu Burok, Syed Azman Syed Ahmad Nawaw loses case after slandering ex-Terengganu MB Ahmad Said of mismanaging the contract for the supply of school uniforms and stationery.

Syed Azman was ordered by the court to pay RM230,000 in damages and cost to Ahmad Said.

6) 23 Feb 2014

PAS president Hadi Awang has been ordered by the courts to pay RM2 million damages for slandering PKR's candidate for Bukit Besi, Terengganu DUN Mohd Shamsul bin Mat Amin.

7) 19 Jan, 2014 

PKR VP Tian Chua and Keadilan Daily settles law-suit for defaming UMNO of planning the Lahad Datu intrusion.

Tian Chua makes open statement to "express regret" and withdraws statement.

8) 13 Nov 2013

DAP MP for PJ Utara, Tony Pua loses defamation case after slandering Petronas Chairman Sidek Hassan's daughter saying they were abusing power and corrupt in SEDA deals.

Tony Pua reads out Open Apology in court and withdraws statement.

9) 1 Nov 2013

PAS MP for Shah Alam, Khalid Samad loses case after defaming ex-PAS leader Hasan Ali and calling him the main parasite in PAS.

Khalid Samad has been ordered by the courts to pay RM300,000 damages to Hasan Ali.

10) 21 Aug 2013

PKR VP Rafizi Ramli loses defamation case for slandering UMNO's Zahid Hamidi had misused public funds from Boustead.

Rafizi makes open apology in court and withdraws statement.

Note: These are cases that the verdict is clear that Pakatan Rakyat leader had lost. There are other law-suits where the cases were settled privately out of court but the outcome is unclear on who won and who lost.

These cases also does not include the many lies about the 40 thousand Bangladeshi voters and Blackouts on 505 that has since been denied by every single Pakatan leaders and parties including BERSIH.

Pakatan leaders and supporters understanding of Malaysia's judiciary system.

1) If the court rules in favour of a Pakatan leader, justice and keadilan have prevailed and the govt or the opposite party is guilty.

2) If the court rules against a Pakatan leader, the court is guilty.

Their mindset is quite easy to understand.
